The PLGA Research Program at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is unique in its focus on pioneering strategies for children with low-grade astrocytomas. To create the program’s social media presence and reach potential donors, HCC developed its online identity for Facebook and Twitter.

After outlining a communication strategy that identified potential donor audiences and their motivations and barriers to supporting PLGA, HCC developed brief, compelling messages that were incorporated into distinctive social network banners, icons, and text graphics. A set of “sharable” graphics were created to encourage social media followers to engage others in supporting the PLGA program.
